The food was great and getting around from here was easy. But the fifth-floor corridor and rooms smelled damp, like there could be a water leak. That needs fixing before it turns into a mold risk.

After a 30-hour flight from another country, I came to Brazil to get married. My wife had booked this hotel a week earlier for our first night after the wedding, and the room we were given was still a mess, with a pizza box inside and the door already open. For a moment I thought we had the wrong room, but it matched our key exactly. Nobody on staff even apologized. I’ve worked in hospitality for a long time, and this was not acceptable.

When our flight was cancelled and we were stranded, the staff were kind and understanding, which made a stressful situation much easier. Larissa at reception and Gleison were especially helpful. I’d happily come back and recommend the Ibis.
