We stayed over the Carnival holiday. The hotel is in a good location, but the stay was really poor. Our room was filthy and had bird fleas, which have gotten into our suitcase and clothes. We’re still trying to get rid of them. We’d requested a double bed, but got two single beds instead. The bathroom was dirty, with hair on the floor and a dirty shower curtain. It’s very small, though tolerable. The room itself is a good size and has a full-size fridge and a stove, but there was almost nothing to cook with, just one plate, one knife, and one fork. The hotel has its own parking and air conditioning. The area was reasonably quiet, with shops and restaurants reasonably close by. Breakfast was very poor too, with stale bread and cookies. It’s a shame, because with good management this could be a great hotel.

The location is good, close to USP and plenty of restaurants and shops. The reception service was fine. The interior isn’t the best, but it was still reasonably comfortable. There’s no room service or restaurant, though food delivery apps work in the city. My room had an electric shower that was tilted so the water hit the wall. I had to stand right up against the wall to shower, which was awful. The room was clean, but they could do a better job keeping the tile grout clean. Having to shower against that dirty wall was unpleasant.

The service was okay, but the room and bathroom were dirty. The room was dusty, and the shower curtain was grimy. We asked for a double bed and got two single beds instead. Breakfast was really poor. The filled cookie I took was stale, the food was badly laid out, and the sink was piled with dirty dishes. We and our belongings ended up covered in pigeon lice. That was the last straw. I know the place is simple, but it doesn't have to be this rundown. R$139.00 isn't cheap. If they can't keep things clean and hygienic, they should close. That's all.

On 29/01/2020, someone else was put in my room while I was out. The hotel said its system had gone down, but nobody checked whether the room had luggage in it before assigning it to someone else. That person came in around 2 p.m. I got back around 6 p.m., after a tiring day at work, and they hadn't told reception that there were bags in the room. Thankfully I hadn't left anything valuable there, but I had to collect all my things, which were plainly visible to anyone coming in, and move to another room. I had to move twice because the first replacement room had no phone signal or WiFi. This was an outrageous situation that could have caused a lot of trouble, including legal problems for both the hotel and the guest. I'm posting this to warn future guests not to leave valuables in their rooms, and especially to urge the hotel to take more responsibility for its guests.

There's plenty of covered parking, and the rooms are furnished and good. It's a great monthly option if you want to stay near USP.
