I picked ibis because I expected clean, dependable, safe lodging within walking distance of the mall. The room comfort needs work: the mattresses and pillows are thin, the laminate floor feels cheap, and the water temperature is inconsistent. Still, it’s a better choice than many other places in town.

This feels like a more upscale Ibis, probably because it’s in Brazil. The restaurant area and bar are great, and the check-in staff were attentive, polite, and awesome. Everything was clean and organized, including the room. The hotel is right by the biggest mall in town, with lots of shopping and dining options.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was a real highlight, as it usually is here. Check-in, though, needs work. We arrived with a group of 33, and I ended up last in line, waiting 40 minutes. Online check-in or kiosks in the lobby might help cut that wait.

We stayed three nights, and the room was adequate for what we needed. It was a decent size, the bathroom was roomy, and the shower worked well. The bed could be more comfortable, and after we spilled water on the floor, housekeeping didn't clean it as thoroughly as I expected. Breakfast was good, but this wouldn't be my first choice in town.

The location is quiet and close to a shopping mall, and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is very good, though you have to pay extra for it. The hotel is being redesigned but still has the Ibis standard. Soundproofing inside is poor, so you can hear people in the hallways and bathrooms. Still, it's a nice place for a few days.
