It’s a budget hotel with an okay setup, but the noise really bothers me.

On February 10, I contacted the hotel to check availability for the university games, from April 17 to 21. They said there was space and confirmed it twice. Even when I mentioned that Booking showed no availability, they assured me rooms were available and made my reservation, saying they would contact me in early March to collect 50% of the payment. No one contacted me then. On March 3, I messaged to ask whether everything was okay with the booking. That’s when they told me they had accepted more reservations than they could handle, expecting someone to cancel. They had never mentioned this possibility, and said my reservation would therefore be canceled. With the dates so busy, they first assured me there was space and booked me, then left me without anywhere to stay when every hotel in town was full. Don’t rely on this hotel. I considered suing, but a business with such poor management, that misleads customers and leaves them stranded, will surely bring about its own downfall.
