Vila do Chaves bed breakfast

The dorms are shared, but the atmosphere is respectful, and they work well for solo travelers. I stayed here to watch a Palmeiras game, and the location right beside Allianz was excellent. It’s a simple place with a wonderful welcome from Dona Mirian, who is lovely, polite, and kind. The employee was friendly and helpful too. The home-style food is good value, and breakfast is included. And the beer is seriously cold 😁. Worth it!

The staff are so welcoming, and both breakfast and lunch served there are great. The women’s room was clean, the bed comfortable, and there was a locker with a padlock for luggage. The bathroom was always very clean too. It’s also close to Allianz Parque, a market, and a bus stop. And yes, the beer is always cold! I’d definitely recommend it.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you ask for information ahead of time, they don’t give it to you. They wait until the refundable cancellation period is over before telling you that an early check-in will cost either a full night’s rate for just two hours, or 80 reais after 9, even though they’re already working then. What’s the point? At that stage, I was out of options. Anyone who stays here will need a lot of courage.
