We hadn’t booked ahead and ended up choosing this inn after seeing several positive Google reviews. What a lovely surprise. The hosts, Izadora and Pedro, are wonderful and really make an effort to welcome their guests. Our chalet was spacious and comfortable, with a minibar, hot water at the bathroom sink, electric mattress heating, air conditioning, a 50-inch TV, and plenty of places to set down luggage. There’s no breakfast service, but they provide a kitchen with everything needed to prepare your own food. Iza and Pedro also suggested several places for coffee and a beautiful winery to visit. Everything was perfect. I’ll definitely recommend Estalagem Floradas da Serra in Sao Joaquim to friends.

My wife and I stayed for two days, and the positive Google reviews turned out to be right. The inn is great, especially because Izadora and Pedro are lovely and put real effort into making guests feel welcome. The chalet was spacious and comfortable, with a minibar, hot water at the bathroom sink, electric mattress heating, air conditioning, a 50-inch TV with several channels, and a great shower. There’s no breakfast, but the kitchen has everything needed to make your own meals, which is what we did. If you’d rather go out for a snack or coffee, the hosts can point you to nearby options. It was our first stay in São Joaquim, and we’ll certainly choose Floradas da Serra again on our next trip there.

The owners were courteous, and the place was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a good price. There’s a shared area where you can eat or make tea or breakfast. I recommend it to everyone.

We booked a chalet through the app and went to the address listed there. The owner told us it wasn’t the right address and sent us somewhere else, which seemed odd because the address on the app was correct. At the second address, we saw that the place was inferior to what we had reserved. We raised this with the person who received us and said it was wrong, but she didn’t do anything. Only later did we learn there are Estalagem I and II. The next day, we heard from Sr. Pedro that there had been a system error. We were upset, but as soon as Sr. Pedro found out about the problem, he contacted us and explained that we had booked a chalet but were put in a house at another address. Everything was clarified after we had left. The inn is clean. The problem was with the system, not the accommodation itself. I’m not reviewing the chalet because the woman did not check us into the chalet, but into the other unit. I’ve stayed at 54 hotels/inns in 2025, for 95 nights, and left 3 reviews. Many inns please me, but it doesn’t please me or anyone when a chalet reservation ends up at another location because of a system error. To repeat, the stay itself wasn’t the issue. Where did I say it didn’t please me or that it was bad? Those aren’t my words. This isn’t a review saying that, it’s a mention praising Sr. Pedro for his attention and thanking him, that’s all. We didn’t go to the wrong place; we went to the address on the reservation. The stay wasn’t free, we were charged. We told the employee our reservation was for the chalet and expected her to resolve it, that’s all.
