Pousada Aba da Serra

Janaína looked after us so attentively and made us feel like old friends. We were really comfortable in her company. It was a lovely weekend, with a peaceful atmosphere and really tasty food. The juices were made from fruit grown on the property, and there's also a sunset trail. Watching the sun go down from the top of the ridge is well worth it. It's a real attraction in São Joaquim do Monte, and I recommend it.

The staff are great and let you feel right at home. I was especially glad this place welcomes dogs, and my dog loved the space. My son did too. It's a small, rustic inn, just what I was looking for, surrounded by nature and serving excellent food. It's still adapting and has renovations underway, so I think it could get even better. The room is small but works well, and the shower gets properly hot. Congrats to the staff and the owner.

It's simple and rustic, but spotless and charming. The peace and quiet made it a lovely place to rest, nap in a hammock, ride a horse, chat, or have a glass of wine. Val, Flávia, Janaína, Gabi, and seu Zé were all so welcoming and pleasant, and did everything they could to make us comfortable. Well worth a visit.

The setting is lovely, with a relaxed atmosphere and a helpful team. There are lots of fruit trees, little marmosets, a pool, hammocks, a space for kids, and areas to gather. The one letdown was that they forgot to let us know there were guests staying, so no breakfast was made.
