Hotel Jardim Sul

Great.

I’d been staying here for three years and used to think it was a top place, but this last visit was awful. The hotel seems neglected, and the service was terrible. I recommended it to my company, but now I need to switch places urgently. Breakfast has gone downhill a lot. They chose to lower the quality, when they should have raised the price instead.

The automatic parking gate was broken, so I had to get out of the car in the drizzle and open it myself. That capped off a bad stay. The room shown in the photos is supposedly a Premium room and costs more than the already poor standard rooms, but mine didn’t even have pillowcases, and both pillows had sweat marks and who knows what else on them. The shower never got hot, and the coffee, milk, and scrambled eggs were all lukewarm or cold. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The place was clean, but during my six-day stay nobody cleaned the room or changed the bed linen. At night there was a lot of noise, with people talking loudly and music playing, and it was the hotel staff themselves. Breakfast was basic. They only provided one towel and a tiny 5 cm bar of soap. The gas shower takes a while to heat up, but it does eventually.
