The hostel overbooked me, which is something you can take legal action over. They tried to sort it out, but handled it in a completely amateur way. I spent over an hour waiting for transport on Friday and again for over an hour on Saturday night. You travel to enjoy the city, not to get stuck waiting for someone to feel like fixing a problem they caused.

The location is great, near the beach, markets, pharmacies, and kite surf schools. If you're interested in kitesurfing, Daniel filho da is there to give you full support. The Rio Claro hostel team are helpful and easy to get along with, always available. The rooms were very good, the AC was always cold, and the bathrooms, sheets, and towels were clean. It's a safe place, and breakfast was complete and really good, with good conversation.

The house owners were very welcoming, and breakfast had everything we could want. It's close to the best spots on the beach. I really liked my stay and highly recommend it.
