Grand Mercure Sao Paulo Vila Olimpia

The area changes through the week. Weekends are fairly quiet, with a few bars and restaurants within walking distance and a decent mall across the street that has a bowling alley. Weekdays get hectic in this business district, especially around lunch when crowds head to nearby restaurants, so it helps to plan ahead. The location felt fairly safe and convenient. Inside, the staff were welcoming everywhere, from the front desk and restaurant to the bell team and security. The food was good; the restaurant offered the best setting and presentation, while room service also delivered quality meals. My room was clean, but I could hear a neighbor cough through the thin wall. It wasn’t constant, though noticeable. It’s a comfortable 4 out of 5 for me. It may not match high-end luxury hotels, but the service, clean rooms, and convenient area made for a pleasant stay.

I come here every week and enjoy it. The staff are really friendly, and I especially like getting my latte each morning. It’s spacious and surrounded by great restaurants. A thumbs up from me.

Grand Mercure Vila Olímpia has clean rooms and a prime location, but it didn’t wow me. Breakfast costs a lot, some parts feel tired, and the service can be indifferent. The décor comes across as more business hotel than luxury, functional but not memorable.

The location is perfect and the rooms were great. The staff, though, didn’t seem to know much about the amenities they offer.
