The room was reasonable, though the mattress was hard, the air conditioner was old, and there was no minibar. The simple breakfast was tasty, and the location is the main draw. It’s beside the metro line and a busy avenue, so falling asleep is difficult. Reception was poor when I arrived at night, but things improved in the morning when Erica was there. She deserves credit. The man who received us seemed completely unprepared and unprofessional for a public-facing job. Maybe he was having a bad day, since it’s hard to imagine someone usually acting that way at work. I was told he’s responsible for the rooms.

There weren’t many choices on the menu, and the room was tiny for the price. Still, given the hour, it worked out since it was the only place I found near the bus station. I also didn’t understand why they kept my ID at reception. I’d never seen that before.

It’s very close to Tietê Bus Terminal and the metro station, but I really can’t recommend it because of the staff. They were extremely grumpy and rude. I booked through Booking, with my reservation running until noon, yet they called at 10 a.m. and told me to leave because they needed to take in new guests soon.

I’d seen complaints about poor service, but this was one of the few places with a room available, so I gave it a try. The staff were incredibly kind: one man brought my bags, let me choose a room, gave me a little extra coffee, and walked with me up the block so I could get something to eat without going alone. The coffee was nice, and check-in was flexible, which I liked since other places only let you check in after noon. I walked to Expo Center, and the location is great. The entrance does make the place look like a motel, as you can see in the photos, though nobody called it one in the listing, while people had done that for another place that didn’t look like one. I’ve got no complaints and would stay again.
