I booked through Charlie, in case that matters. Getting into the hotel was a problem from the start. I had uploaded my passport and a selfie hours earlier and sent in the required details, but the facial recognition system still wouldn't let me in. My face wasn't registered until Thursday night. Before then, each attempt meant spending 10-15 minutes speaking broken Portuguese through the scanner's intercom to someone on the other end. I messaged WhatsApp support every day for four days after arriving, and it took an astonishingly long time to sort out. Charlie also hadn't sent my room details, so I waited in the lobby for 30 minutes to an hour for support. My phone service was unreliable inside, so I couldn't count on calling or messaging anyone unless I went outside, and then I couldn't get back in. I tried the coworking area near the top of the building for internet, but there was no wifi password posted. I was stuck until a security guard helped. A few other problems: there were allergens on the bed that bothered my sinuses, no paper towels or free water, and the first-floor store was extremely overpriced. On my departure day, a power outage made the fridge start making noise around 5 AM, hours before my alarm. I also couldn't eat the food I'd kept in it, charge my flight equipment, or easily call an Uber because the wifi was down. I won't come back, and I'd tell others to avoid this hotel too.

This was my second stay, in a different unit. The first was in Alphaville, and it wasn't great, though I thought maybe I was being picky. Now, in Perdizes, I'm convinced the service really is terrible. We arrived 50 minutes after getting the check-in approval message, after receiving lots of emails, sending documents, and registering both my face and my husband's. We had bags and groceries with us, but facial recognition failed. The woman on the intercom could see it wasn't working, asked us several questions, then left us standing outside. We only got in because someone else was leaving. The receptionist offered to contact Charlie and wrote down our numbers, but I spent an hour trying to reach them on WhatsApp. Nobody replied or answered. Now we're about to leave and won't be able to get back in. This is ridiculous. We also chose a room with a regular coffee maker, but found a Nespresso instead. Just awful.

Be careful about booking an Airbnb here with host Izabella, Unit 309. We booked for two months, but the apartment had only one small pot and two plates. We had to ask her for more kitchenware, and she reluctantly sent it by Uber. She said it was on the way, but we waited three hours. When we followed up, she said, "I'm sending it now." Annoying, but these things happen, right? About two weeks later, after a long day of training, we got back late and couldn't get into the apartment. The digital lock's battery had died. I guess Izabella hadn't considered that it needed charging before a two-month stay. Her fix was to send a charger by Uber. We already knew from experience she waits until the last minute to deal with problems, so we were locked outside for HOURS at midnight, still in our sweaty workout clothes. Luckily, the doorman had a charger and gave it enough power to open the door. But the battery compartment needs a tool to open, and of course Izabella hadn't left one so we could change the batteries. We waited for another solution. Then we were stuck inside and couldn't go out, because the door wouldn't open again until the end of the next day, when she sent her elderly mother over, without the batteries, naturally. She seemed annoyed that we asked for basic things in a "luxury hotel room" she charges a lot for. After eight years on Airbnb with only positive reviews, we got our first negative one from her. I can only assume this bitter woman was upset that she might have had to spend around R$ 60 to fix problems caused by her own laziness. The doorman and building staff are EXTREMELY kind. But if you rent at Nik Perdizes, make sure it isn't through Izabella. There's a reason her listings never get above 4.77.

On 01/03, when I arrived at the condominium for the first time, I got one of the worst receptions I've ever experienced. The woman at the intercom, Andressa, was extremely unreasonable and completely rude. That's her choice, but I can't imagine that kind of service fits the condominium.

Everything was so well organized, and it's very close to ALLIANZ PARQUE. The building is brand new and the facilities are excellent. There aren't staff in the building, but getting in and out wasn't difficult, and Charlie's WhatsApp team treated us well. We loved it.
