Parque Jockey Pinheiros

The building looked modern and centrally located, but the quality and service were far below what I’d consider acceptable. This was one of the worst places I’ve stayed, and I can’t recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, stress-free stay in São Paulo. My room was on the 16th floor, facing the street near Parque Jockey, and the traffic noise was unbearable. The soundproofing is poor. Earplugs were left beside the bed, which made it seem like management knew about the problem but hadn’t fixed it. I asked for a quieter room, but the host said none were available, even though the building seemed mostly empty. The Wi-Fi didn’t work for two full days. Support had been promised, but the problem took an unreasonable time to resolve, so I had to use mobile data. Most staff, including security, didn’t speak English, and communication was nearly impossible. They were often unfriendly and unhelpful. I also felt uncomfortable having to do a facial scan to enter the building. It made me feel constantly watched. Simple things were a hassle too: I had to download an app and spend 20 minutes working out how to do laundry, and it took forever to find the rubbish bin because there were no signs or anyone to help. The rules were strict and confusing, including a ban on bringing a beer into certain areas, but there were no clear signs explaining them. A security guard confronted me rudely, then a manager did too. The manager spoke poor English and treated me disrespectfully. The way they handled it was very unprofessional. There aren’t good restaurants or entertainment within walking distance. The building feels isolated and lifeless, and is empty most of the time. The pool was empty during my stay, and no one had told me beforehand. The whole place felt cheap and poorly maintained. Between the noise, unfriendly staff, low quality and excessive rules, the stay was truly frustrating.
