Good value for the money. I had a room to myself and my own key to the main door, which suited me since I like exploring São Paulo at night. Breakfast was small but had a great selection, and you can use the kitchen supplies if you need to. It felt a bit like a family business, with lots of people around and a traditional reception where they still write down the names of guests checking in. There are several bathrooms and toilets. The shower on the second floor wasn't working, but they fixed it the next day, which was fine. There's no sign showing where the hostel is, though it does appear on Google Maps.

The area didn't feel safe, and neither did the hostel. The lockers are tiny, but if something is stolen, they'll blame you for not putting it in one of those very small lockers. The beds are short, so if you're 5'10 or taller, expect your head or feet to hang off. The showers were quite dirty. There are some overpriced restaurants nearby, but we walked to other neighborhoods to eat every day.

A small, very affordable hostel in a safe local neighborhood. Everything, including the shared areas, was kept really clean. There's a supermarket around the corner, and the staff were kind and helpful.

The place was DISGUSTING, falling apart, and wildly unprofessional. The walls were covered in dirt and hallway stains, the sheets had stains all over them, and there was no mattress protector. The pillows were completely flat and looked like they came from a little brother's room, while the bedding reminded me of my grandmother's. Wood and beams were breaking apart too. That's what I saw before even getting to the bathrooms and kitchen. Seeing them let things get this bad made me wonder how clean the bedding really was. There's a lot more I couldn't even post. I know bad hostels exist, but this one looks nothing like that online and has high reviews. Their photos and reviews are a lie. See for yourself. The pictures don't even show how bad it was. The owners have some nerve hosting people in this dump. It felt obvious they were here for a quick buck and had zero standards. They deliberately don't allow refunds, probably because so many people cancel. The owner of the hostel I moved to said he constantly gets cancellations from them.
