Radisson Hotel Oscar Freire

The bed was comfortable, but the Wi-Fi in my 18th-floor room barely reached. I couldn’t work, and nobody managed to fix the problem.

Our stay was part of airline compensation, and the airline had already paid for dinner and lunch. We arrived very late, around 1 am, but the hotel refused to provide the dinner. The person in charge argued that it was too late and the restaurant would charge me for room service. The next morning I checked out at 9, and the receptionist said lunch from the voucher would only be available after midday. When I returned for my luggage and lunch, I was told I had to pay because I’d checked out. What was I supposed to do, waste time at the hotel until lunch or pay for another night just to get a meal that was already paid for? This was absurd and felt like a complete rip-off. They seem to do everything they can to charge extra. The airline has already received a formal complaint about this poor, dishonest service. I didn’t feel like I was in a five-star hotel. I felt mistreated when the services were denied. Such a scam.

The breakfast buffet has a great range, and I had a very good dining experience. It’s an excellent five-star hotel in central Sao Paulo.

There was a power outage in the area and a storm sent water into my room, but the staff stayed warm and attentive through the whole mess. They sorted out each problem quickly and even helped me order food online when nearby restaurants had no power. Esmal at the front reception was lovely too. I appreciated all their help, especially since I don’t speak Portuguese. The room had a beautiful view and a comfortable bed. I’d stay again :)
