Residencial Pousada O Casarão

I stayed here for a few months, and it was hard to get a peaceful night’s sleep. There was loud music and TV, gates slamming, and people stopping to talk outside my window after midnight. If you need to get up early, it’s miserable. The kitchen was almost impossible to use, and it had cockroaches, some bigger than any I’d seen before. There were mosquitoes in the room, and the accommodations were really poor, with old beds and pillows and a chair with a broken backrest. Stay away.

The area felt secure, with a military police battalion right across the street, and the staff were very friendly. It’s also close to the metro, several supermarkets and restaurants, and three malls. My son stayed here for months while doing his postgraduate studies, and it worked well for studying and resting in peace and privacy. The rooms are furnished and private, and there’s internet, a cleaner, and a canteen. It was a great experience. Thanks! Francisco

This guesthouse is for stays longer than a month and is for men only, mainly students and professionals working in central São Paulo. The rooms are cozy and the facilities are adequate, with Wi-Fi, though most rooms aren’t suites.

Good value, quality service, and a clean, safe place in a convenient spot. Great hostel!
