Wyndham Sao Paulo Ibirapuera Convention Plaza Hotel

The lobby feels like a 4-star hotel, the location is good, the staff are great, and breakfast is very good. The two rooms we had, though, felt like they were from 1990. The furniture was old and the curtains had a faint musty smell. For a short trip, if it's close to where you need to be in São Paulo, it's an okay place.

My wife and I came to Brazil for our thirteenth wedding anniversary, and our stay at the Wyndham São Paulo Ibirapuera Convention Plaza was amazing. Erick and Fernando were especially excellent, going above and beyond to help with everything we needed. The free breakfast had lots of choices, all fresh, natural-looking, and delicious. The hotel met all our expectations. I’d happily stay again on another visit to São Paulo and recommend it to future guests.

The location is very good, and breakfast was excellent, complete, and varied. There’s also a well-equipped gym, a sauna, and a pool. But for $110 USD a night at a 4-star hotel, I expected much more. The facilities are worn and dated in places, and the air conditioning was the main problem: it was very cold, even though I'm usually not someone who feels cold. We raised the temperature issue, but nothing was done, and numerous passengers seemed to be dealing with the same thing. Some strange people in the lobby made me suspicious, though security was good and kept control. In short, average.

Based on this stay, I won't return to this property or any other hotel under this brand. It was hands down the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and I can't recommend it to anyone.
