We kept the place in mind as a favorite from our trip around Brazil, and we’ve been telling friends and family about it. It’s especially convenient for walking to some lovely beaches. The shared spaces were beautiful, with hammocks, a pool and a barbecue area. There was also an honesty fridge with drinks at reasonable prices, plus cake baked daily and tea and coffee throughout our stay. Breakfast had plenty of healthy choices, including fresh fruit, squeezed juice, unsweetened natural yogurt and delicious scrambled eggs, with sesame seeds available to sprinkle on top. Bring bug spray when you head out. Mosquitoes and horseflies were around across the whole island at any time of day, and we got bitten by a horsefly in the morning.

The beach is an easy walk away, and the location is very good. There’s lots of room to enjoy the backyard or pool, and the service and rooms were excellent. Breakfast was superb too.
