Hotel Spa Nau Royal

The spa was out of this world. I tried almost everything on the menu and was impressed by how consistently skilled and thoughtful the treatments were. The deep tissue and hot stone massages are especially worth trying. There were a couple of small issues with food hygiene and service, but the hotel responded quickly and handled them well. The hotel is right on Cambury beach, which I think is the most beautiful beach in SP state. It's peaceful and residential, unlike towns full of restaurants and commercial activity, and doesn't get too busy even on sunny days. The front rooms and outdoor space have an incredible sea view. The staff are warm, welcoming, and attentive to even small guest needs. It really feels like a slice of paradise.

The staff were exceptionally kind, and the hotel is very nice in general. The room was okay, though nothing fancy. For what it costs, I expected much more. It's very expensive for the value, and you could get an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean for the same price.

The room has some serious issues. There was a leak under one of the sinks, with a couple of towels being used to catch the water. The bathroom floor had mold, the towels badly needed replacing despite being Trussardi, and the hotel clearly needs renovation. The board floors are in poor shape, the pool didn't look like the best option, and several shower holes were clogged with calcarium, so the water didn't spread properly. I came for a wedding and paid around 3k BRL daily, expecting a real 6 stars level of service. The parking lot is tiny, barely comfortable for a 500 Fiat, especially with cars in BR getting bigger. Check-in was slow and bureaucratic. I had chosen the Loccitane suite on the 1st floor, but its entrance was very unassuming. At first the room seemed okay, then the boutique hotel's problems started to show. Given that the minimum wage in BR is 3 times less than this hotel's daily rate, I wouldn't book it. Don't be fooled by the other reviews. For better infrastructure, price, and quality, I'd choose DPNY in Ilhabela, though I don't want to get into its possibly questionable decor. Anyhow, Nay does not value the money.

The restaurant is spectacular, and the hotel has wonderful views and luxurious surroundings. Excellent hotel.
