Really, really top-notch.

We used to find this place charming, clean, and well organized, and the service used to be impeccable. It's a shame how much the quality has dropped. Room maintenance seems to have stopped, and during our recent holiday stay with family there were problems throughout. The bathrooms smelled strongly of mildew and had dirty grout. Some furniture and doors had broken pieces, and the bedroom curtains were dirty and musty. The protective screens on the bathroom windows were dirty, moldy, and torn. In room 19, the double mattress was hard as a rock, and the single bed was just as bad. The kitchen cupboards also had spots of termite damage. We had cold showers because, according to reception, the heater had been switched off. We had to walk over to get help since staff didn't answer calls and took a long time to reply to WhatsApp messages. I was bitten by a bedbug, which suggests the place may not be getting pest control. I'm not sure I'll stay here again, which is a shame because it used to be so charming.

The reception is here and is open until 9 p.m. The owners also run Vila Bardot, whose facilities guests here can use, including a heated pool and a playroom. The downside is how slow WhatsApp replies are, both for sales inquiries and for guests. We asked some questions about the stay and got an answer 24 hours later. We still stayed at Vila Bardot and everything worked out, but only because we were already on the coast and went there in person. Otherwise, we would have given up.
