The owner makes the place sound great when you rent it, but the photos give an optical illusion. They’re taken from an angle that makes the space look huge, when it’s actually tiny. The shower was very weak, the toilet flush was weak too, and the house was quite dusty. We left it cleaner than we found it. Once you say you’re on your way, a flood of rules and warnings comes through, so many that it makes you afraid to do anything. I don’t recommend it.

Sandra gave us wonderful service, and the house was lovely, clean, and smelled fresh. It’s also in a great spot right in the center of São Tomé das Letras.

A really cozy house in a great central location, close to the cave.
