Pousada Vivamar

It was fine.

Great!

The staff tried their best to make things work, though there seemed to be too few of them for the number of rooms, at least during my January visit. The parking area is small, but everyone can fit if people are willing to make room. The inn itself is decent and very peaceful, but the rooms need updating and the outdoor grounds could use some landscaping. In my room, the light fixture, curtain, and window all had issues. The breakfast area is cramped, and it may not have enough space or food if all the guests come down at once. The shared outdoor area and play equipment also need some attention.

Samuel was very helpful, and the room my husband and I stayed in was roomy, airy, and had enough storage and useful items for our stay. The air conditioning worked really well. The other employees we dealt with often made simple requests difficult. The towels and pillowcases provided were quite worn, so it may be better to bring your own. Getting to breakfast means using a narrow, uneven staircase that doesn't seem suitable for older guests. The water from both the tap and shower ran weakly and smelled unpleasant. Since the inn is on a main road, it's noisy too, with fast cars and trucks disturbing our sleep at night.
