It was okay.

The parking is cramped, and it can leave cars blocked in. Mine had to stay on the street because there wasn’t room. If another car is in your way, the owner has to move it so you can get out. The site says there are 49 spacious, airy apartments, but I only saw two kinds mentioned: the ones in the photos, which I didn’t stay in, and the awful one I got. It had a space with a rusty refrigerator, windows missing panes, and a broken fan wrapped in tape that made a horrible noise. I could either sweat or lie awake listening to it. There was tape holding the wiring to the baseboard too. The bathroom smelled bad, the toilet didn’t work properly, and the shower had a soap dish but nowhere for shampoo except the floor. The drain pipe leaked onto the floor, and the bathroom door had a gap of more than 20 centimeters along the bottom, apparently where it had rotted away. The towels looked like they’d been through at least four World Cups, and the curtain was full of holes. Another family member’s apartment had ants everywhere. The TV remote didn’t work, and there weren’t enough outlets to charge a phone without unplugging something else. Breakfast was another letdown. There was no colonial breakfast, just a poor imitation served in a dim room with old, often dirty dishes. If you wanted a table, you had to clean it yourself and remove the dishes other guests had used. The employee was clearly overworked and doing what she could, so I don’t blame her. I rarely criticize places I’ve stayed, but I felt I had to share this, especially since what we got was so different from what was advertised. The manager said this was first and foremost a house for friends. I wouldn’t want friends like that, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here even to my worst enemy. It was a miserable, frustrating and embarrassing experience. I spent one night there, but it felt like forever.
