Really nice place.

I left a day before my booking ended, and they wouldn’t refund me. I won’t come back here. The room was really uncomfortable, and the bedding and pillows were awful. It’s quite far from the center of Serra Negra, and breakfast was terrible, with very few protein options. I asked for scrambled eggs separately, but they put a kilo of salt in them. When I asked to have them made again without salt because I have high blood pressure, the employee gave me a mocking look. It was a horrible experience.

We stayed in the alpine chalet from September 7 to 9, 2025, with my wife and our six-year-old daughter, and it was one of the worst stays we’ve had. We arrived Sunday at 6 pm and nobody was there to greet us. They’d just left the key so we could get into the chalet. The next day I went to reception, but nobody showed us around or explained how things worked, even though it was our first visit. I wanted to leave the following day, but since I’d already paid upfront, I didn’t have much choice. I can’t recommend it and wouldn’t stay again even for half what we paid. Breakfast was poor for the price. The orange juice was industrial, and they served the same single cake both days. The service was polite enough, and eggs were made to order, but overall it was far below what we expected. The internet signal was awful, so we used mobile data most of the time. The TV only had local broadcast channels, with hardly any options. The large pool was freezing, despite not being described as heated, and the covered heated pool had no sun and smelled really unpleasant. We saw junk piled in the corners and a pool cover lying around. The bar wasn’t really offered beyond a digital menu, and ordering anything to have outside the chalet would also cost extra.

We had a great experience and I’d stay here again. The rooms were clean and organized, requests were taken care of, and it’s good value for money. It’s close to everything, and being right by the highway makes getting around easy. The staff were very attentive, and the owner was kind and took time to chat with us. Breakfast was excellent and really tasty, with very attentive staff. The pools are probably best in hot weather because it’s high up in the mountains and gets quite cold. Even the heated pool water can feel a bit chilly. The inn is near the highway, so traffic noise might bother people who are sensitive to it, though it wasn’t anything extreme. I wouldn’t recommend the Standard room because of its location and layout. It seems worth paying a little more for a better room. Check the rules and extra charges before you go, since some things aren’t included, even towel changes for stays under 48 hours.
