Really great place.

The service was the worst part. The man at reception was rude, and Júlia, who handled my booking and complaints, got angry when I questioned her and acted as if she were doing me a favor. I felt she was used to selling one thing and delivering another. The place itself seemed completely neglected: everything was very dirty, the pool was filthy, and the old sheets were dirty too. I’ll never come back.

The inn has the potential to be amazing, but “Júnior,” the caretaker, doesn’t seem to like dealing with guests. People I didn’t know came in without identifying themselves or registering, paid 10 reais to use the pool, and that left guests’ safety at risk. Breakfast was disappointing too, with just one juice option and stale bread with almost nothing to go with it. Even the “best room,” with two sleeping areas, had major leaks, lots of dirt, and cobwebs in the bathroom. They need to look after the place and be more helpful.

We left before checkout because staying there was impossible. The mattress was awful, we felt its springs and woke up aching after barely sleeping, and the bathroom smelled bad. The whole place felt neglected, with no maintenance: the game room was dark, dirty, and smelled terrible. By the pool, broken loungers and loud music made it impossible to relax as we’d planned. We were also received very poorly when we arrived, and only stayed because we couldn’t afford to lose what we’d paid. I think the inn’s management should have enough decency to refund part of the cost, since we didn’t get what we paid for.
