Vila Europeia Hotel e residencial

The breakfast was fantastic, and the service remains the standout for us. Tio Ale brought loads of energy to recreation and made things more fun. Júlio and Jéssica at reception were professional, quick, and friendly, and the A&B team were attentive too. This was our second stay at Vila Europeia. We like the concept and atmosphere, see potential in the hotel, and plan to return. A few things could be better: the shower didn’t have a good flow, the bed wasn’t as comfortable as we expected, and the room wasn’t cleaned on one of the days. I’m mentioning these constructively because the hotel has value, and a few small fixes could make a big difference to the stay.

We stayed for two days and had a great time. The hotel is new, attractive, and well equipped, and the staff were all extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were delicious both days, with plenty of choices. We also enjoyed the heated pool hot tub, which was lovely. When the air conditioner’s heater in our room stopped working, they quickly brought us a portable heater and two extra blankets.

The staff were very polite and friendly, and the hotel has great facilities, easy access, and several spacious, nicely decorated common areas. We stayed in the larger room, which was indeed roomy, airy, and well equipped. The bathroom is huge, though its high ceiling and opening skylight may make it hard to keep warm in cold weather. Breakfast and dinner were included, but the meals were disappointing. There was variety, yet some of the food seemed to have been reused from an earlier meal. For the nightly rate, they could improve the food quality. It was fine for our short stay, but I think the meals might become a bother if we stayed longer.

We expected more for the price, which averaged 600-800 a night. The facilities are great, but the game room felt cramped, with what looked like an improvised kitchenette in the middle and no game tables. We spent a day at the pool and ordered drinks, but they were poorly made, or the person preparing them hadn’t been trained as a bartender. The lime caipirinha was bitter, and my wife’s piña colada had no condensed milk and tasted like nothing. The bed was hard and makeshift, made by pushing two single beds together with a split in the middle. The pillow was flat and low quality. I wish they’d warned me so I could bring one from home. Dinner was simple, with little variety and nothing surprising. Breakfast was better one day. The next, it seemed like they’d reused the previous day’s food. Some rolls were hard and didn’t have the fillings they were supposed to. There wasn’t much variety either, and they put out Nutella without anything to eat it with, like a waffle.
