Tropeiro Plaza Hotel Sorocaba

The receptionist was the best part for me. She was always willing to help and supported me with everything. The hotel is simple, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. The beds were good, the linens were clean and smelled fresh, and the rooms were spacious. There were supplies in the minibar, and breakfast covered the essentials, including scrambled eggs. I recommend it!

The Wi-Fi is almost nonexistent on weekends, when it gets overloaded and very slow. Breakfast was disappointing too: there weren’t many ready-made options, and you had to prepare your own tapioca, crepe, cheese bread, scrambled eggs, or omelet from the ingredients and portable machines they provided. The hotel is in a good location, and the staff were very attentive.

The rooms were good and very clean, and the staff were attentive. The rest was a letdown. The Wi-Fi signal was very poor. The parking setup felt dangerous because guests have to use the ramp where cars are driving; it seems they’ll only do something about it after an accident. Items for sale at reception had to be paid for right away and couldn’t be added to the room bill for checkout. When the hotel was fully booked, or even a little less than full, arriving late for breakfast meant getting only the leftovers. I complained that breakfast items were missing and said I wouldn’t stay there again. The woman at breakfast replied that it would be a favor to her if I didn’t stay there again. I’m going to tell my company not to make any more reservations at this hotel.

The rooms were clean, and the service was good for the price, but the noise was awful. There’s no sound insulation, so you hear everything from other rooms. Doors kept slamming through the night, and guests were whistling and talking loudly in the halls with no respect for quiet. It finally stopped around 1 a.m., then started up again at 5:30. I travel all week and stay in hotels often, including Bravo City de Campo Grande, where I’ve stayed several times. There’s no comparison. They need a quiet-hours rule. In general, the service is good and the room was clean, but the rest was a mess. I don’t recommend it.
