Ribeirao Hotel

The restaurant serves great quality food, with sertão-style dishes, and the service was courteous and good. The hotel is good value too. I highly recommend it!

We were in Sousa for work, and the neighborhood itself is quite humble. I was traveling with my husband and called to ask about a room. They only had a double room with twin beds, for 230,00, which felt like a lot. We checked in close to 19:00, and the room smelled of mildew, with peeling walls, an old TV and minibar, and no working internet on the second floor. We stayed just one night, then found somewhere else because the stay was so bad. The shower water was freezing, and at one point the water would suddenly stop. We figured out the shower itself was broken, so we had to turn the room's main valve directly. The light sensor switched the lights off far too quickly. They deliberately turn off the elevator on the second floor. To go down with a pile of bags, you're left to manage the stairs yourself. Terrible. I don't recommend it.

I made a reservation 24 hours in advance, but when we arrived they put us in a room where the bathroom had no water. Later, they moved us to a second room where the bathroom lights didn't work, and there were cockroaches too. The quality was terrible and the stay left a lot to be desired. I don't recommend it.

The room smelled musty, and the elevator had a bad smell. Breakfast, though, was excellent.
