Pousada Vila Madá

The room had a fantastic view, and it was spotless, spacious, and very well equipped. The bed was wonderful, and the minibar had everything we hoped to find. The next morning, Mardenia, her sister, and "mainha" were so helpful, the perfect finishing touch to a great choice. We knew as soon as we arrived that we’d picked the right place. Edvania’s warm, genuine smile made for the best welcome we’ve had at a pousada in years. I wish I could give this place 10, 100, even 1,000 stars. It’s become our new spot by the Pernambuco sea. Congratulations to Mardenia and the whole team, you’re a thousand!

I did the whole coast from Maceió to Porto de Galinhas in a week, sleeping in a different town each night except for two nights in MARAGOGI. This pousada was the best of them all. I felt lucky to find the place. It’s very private, exactly my kind of spot. Just a personal tip, it’s tucked away and peaceful. I loved it.

Having breakfast with a view of the sea and direct access to the beach made this feel like a lovely family inn. We were welcomed warmly and had no problems with the service. The house does need some repairs, though: the air conditioning gave us trouble, and the shower had clogged outlets with very little water coming through. Even so, the stay was well worth it, and I recommend it.

The beach view was a plus, and the coffee tasted good, but room 2 was a letdown. There was a lot of mold, the bathroom light kept flickering, and the towels were stained. Breakfast was disappointing too, because the ham had gone slimy. I’d consider the inn for just a day trip, but if you have allergies like I do, stay away.
