Casa Cortese Design Hotel

The breakfast had loads of lovely options, and our room felt airy and cozy. The towels and bedding were clean and neatly arranged. We’d booked for two adults and a child, then needed an extra room at the last minute for my parents. The staff welcomed us and sorted it out warmly. The air conditioning could cool better, the parking gate stays locked until a staff member comes to open it, and bottled water costs extra. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place with things to do with family or friends.

The best part of staying at Casa Cortese Hotel was how much it felt like being in a home, rather than an impersonal hotel. José and Andreia welcomed us so warmly that we felt at home right away. The house itself is lovely, with architecture that brings the spaces together, big open windows overlooking the landscaping, and wood and glass details that make it feel cozy. Music shows up throughout the decor, even on the bookshelves. We arrived in Tatuí after changing our plans. We had meant to go to Itapetininga, but my husband remembered that this city had an important Conservatory, so we decided to visit. The Festival dos Doces was on and the city was busy, but luckily Casa Cortese had one room left. That began a really happy stay. Our room was one of the smaller ones, but it was comfortable, bright, and clean. The shower was powerful and properly hot, which makes a real difference in winter. Breakfast had plenty of variety and tasted great, and there’s also a pool for warm days. The location is right in the heart of Tatuí, just a few steps from sights like Praça da Matriz, where the Festival dos Doces takes place, A Basílica Santuário Nossa Senhora da Conceição, and O Museu Paulo Setúbal. Banks, a pharmacy, and restaurants are close by too. We loved discovering Casa Cortese and would stay there again whenever we’re in Tatuí. If you want a pretty, cozy place without that impersonal hotel feel, choose Casa Cortese.

I stayed here with my family and our three pets, and it was wonderful in every way. The place was such a nice surprise, with tasteful decor, a clean, fresh-smelling atmosphere, a great breakfast, and lovely service. I’ll definitely stay here whenever I’m passing through Tatuí.
