We should have checked the guest feedback on Google first. After we read the many complaints, we ended up adding to that negative record ourselves. We had planned to stay two nights, but left after one because of everything that happened and the embarrassment we went through. My reservation wasn’t in the guest notebook. They only let us in after I showed the receipt for the 50% deposit I’d sent by Pix to Valquiria a few days earlier. She said she was the owner, but treated us terribly. She mixed us up with other guests, and we waited over 40 minutes at reception for the room to be made available. My 83-year-old mother-in-law was exhausted from the trip. The bathroom was dirty and had no toilet seat. We had a cold shower even though there was still electricity at the time. That afternoon, Valquiria messaged me on WhatsApp asking me to send the remaining Pix payment. It puzzled me because we’d agreed I would pay when I checked out on 02/01/2026. I explained all this to Maisa, since Valquiria couldn’t speak to me then. Maisa was attentive and committed to helping us, and gave us a lot of support and explanation. She deserves praise. While I was telling Maisa what had happened, the wires in the corridor started catching fire and the power went out in our rooms. We went out to celebrate New Year’s Eve and returned around 1:30 in the morning. The power was still out in our part of the inn, though the other part had electricity. The gate wouldn’t open. Valquiria didn’t answer when I called, but Maisa picked up right away and asked someone else to open it. Valquiria then came over wanting to know what was going on. I told her I didn’t want to talk then because we were tired, and would speak with her in the morning. Our room was still without power. We spent the whole night in the dark, without a fan, in a hot, stuffy room. Early in the morning we packed and left without even having breakfast. Terrible service and a terrible place. I don’t recommend it to anyone. Don’t make the mistake of skipping the reviews for this inn.

An absolute nightmare! I stayed here on 13.12.25 with a five-year-old child and a seven-month-old baby. The place was impossible to stay in: dirty, dusty, smelly, and stuffy. The rooms are along a dark, unventilated corridor. If you arrive at night, you’ll need your phone flashlight because there are no light bulbs. The outlets were loose, the bathroom stank and had no door, and the toilet was loose and so dirty I couldn’t sit on it. The shower stall was full of cigarette butts. This cost me more than money. It was stressful, exhausting, and infuriating. We tried to find another hotel in town, but they were all full. The room smelled so bad I could barely breathe. There was water on the stairs leading to the rooms, making them dangerous to climb with children, especially in the dark. I have no doubt even the owners of this dump wouldn’t stay there. On the day we were leaving, reception was closed. They messaged me to leave the key in the room and the entrance door open. There were guests in the rooms, and leaving the front door open didn’t feel safe at all, since anyone could walk in. I honestly can’t describe how I felt when I entered that room. I’d never felt anything like it.

Senhora Valquíria gave me the worst experience of my life! We paid 160 reais for one night, arriving at 11 p.m. and leaving in the morning. When we got there, they took us to a room that wasn’t remotely fit to stay in. A prison cell must be cleaner and better organized. Everything was filthy, and the bathroom was in awful shape with no toilet paper. I wish I could add the photos. We lost the booking money and didn’t stay even 10 minutes. The owner didn’t respond. I don’t know how the health inspection in Tatui allows this place to keep operating. Don’t go in there.

The place looked cozy at first, but after that things got bad fast. The kitchen was dirty, all the rooms were messy and smelly, the ceiling was falling down, the bathroom was filthy, and the bed was broken. It was awful and not worth it. There was no breakfast, and when we were leaving the electricity was cut off. We also left without an invoice. This was the worst stay of my life. The managers need to change or I don’t think the place will last another month. I’m being honest, this just isn’t good. Don’t go there.

I couldn’t stay at the inn because of a health issue that meant I couldn’t travel. I’d paid in advance as requested and told them I wouldn’t be able to make the trip. When I asked for a refund, one of the owner’s sons said he wouldn’t issue it because I hadn’t paid her directly, even though he worked at her inn. That makes the owner responsible, in my view. On WhatsApp, she told me she wouldn’t refund me and didn’t care if I pursued my rights. She told me, clearly and mockingly, to go ahead and seek legal recourse. Then she deleted the audio messages where she said the receptionist worked for her mother, and where she said I wouldn’t get my refund. She claimed I had no proof, but I saved all the recordings before she deleted them. I’ll pursue my rights for sure. She can be certain I’ll seek a refund down to every cent.
