Pousada Dubai

The noise kept going all the time, from both staff and other guests. Loud voices, music, and doors slamming kept us up past midnight, then we were woken at 5 a.m. The room was dirty, and I doubt the air conditioner had ever been cleaned since it was installed. The bathroom flooded, with water reaching the room, and the toilet seat was loose. The receptionist was extremely rude, with no kindness at all. I nearly gave up on the stay at check-in, but we were tired from the trip, so we stayed. Breakfast was ridiculous, my husband even felt sick, and we didn’t finish eating. For just 20 reais more, you can stay somewhere that offers basic comfort. I wouldn’t recommend this place even to an enemy. It’ll be in my nightmares.

The breakfast was weak, and although the hotel has a garage, I couldn’t get anyone to help park my car. I wasn’t treated well, either. Early in the morning, the receptionist was talking loudly by my room door, and I had to ask her to be quiet.

The staff are helpful, and breakfast includes warm French bread, sliced bread, butter, cream cheese, mozzarella, ham, and juices. The inn is comfortable, with a king bed, air conditioning, a minibar, a TV, and a large bathroom with a shower enclosure.

The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean, which were the good parts. Everything else made for a poor experience. The location is quite far from the center, and the route has poorly marked streets. When I arrived, they said there was no valet at that hour and wouldn’t open the parking gate. I had to park on the street and unload several bags in the rain without any staff help. Cars were blocking the way, and the sidewalk was wet and slippery. Staff talked loudly in the hallway at night. In the morning, outside maintenance workers laughed loudly under guests’ windows, with no regard for quiet. They even talked about unclogging a toilet in the breakfast area. The window is somewhat see-through, so you can see people inside the rooms.
