I stay here often, and it’s one of those places you almost want to keep to yourself. But Castro’s deserves the recognition. For work trips, it’s a great spot to get some peace and comfort and be treated well without spending a fortune. It puts a lot of fancy hotels to shame. Huge congratulations to the team, I highly recommend it. The staff are kind and polite in a way you don’t come across very often. The room is spotless, the bed feels like a hug, and there’s streaming on the TV for a show before bed. The shower pressure is out of this world, just the thing for shaking off a stressful day. Breakfast is brought to your room, which feels like a luxury. The food is great, but the person who delivers it deserves special praise for her kindness and friendly service. That’s real, personal care.

I arrived to find they hadn't seen my reservation and were full, so I was left outside without a room. The man there was completely unprepared and blamed Booking. He eventually found the booking, but still didn't fix the problem, and we had to go looking for another hotel. A horrible experience.

Everything was so clean and well cared for, right down to the thoughtful details. The bed was really comfortable, the kind that makes you want to stay a little longer. The shower was lovely and always hot, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. At Hotel Castros, breakfast was served in the room with such care, and it was delicious with plenty of variety. Simply impeccable.

The location is good and the rooms are okay, but reception doesn't work properly. A staff member at the desk agreed to something, but management didn't honor it. What a disappointment.
