We stayed in one of several houses tucked into lovely gardens, a 5-10 minute walk from the historic town. It's a peaceful, beautiful rustic spot for visiting Tiradentes. The service was very friendly, and a huge breakfast was delivered to our little house each day. One of the town's best restaurants, a Thai restaurant, is on the same grounds.

We had a delicious breakfast and the quality of chalet 08 was excellent. Wellington deserves special mention for the attention to detail, quick replies, initiative, and great tips. The pousada and Restaurante UaiThai work really well together, and their teams were welcoming, polite, and clear when explaining how things work. We'll be back next year.

My earlier meals at Uai Thay had been memorable, but this last one was a disaster. The food quality has dropped a lot. The chef wasn't there, and I waited about an hour for my order. I'd had the dish before, but this time the meat was dried out, the sauce was salty (I know the difference between salty and seasoned), and I don't even know what to say about the cheese. The rice was the best part. I paid a lot and ate badly. Guests at the pousada might want to go when the chef is there.
