Even without breakfast included, staying here is easy because there are plenty of places to eat within a short walk. Nearby choices range from three gas station convenience stores to bakeries, pastry shops, and more upscale spots like Quiero Café. The Hotel is a calm, welcoming place right in the busy center of Tramandaí, and a real oasis of quiet for resting. Shops, restaurants, and services are close by. The beach isn't very close, but it's easy to get to. Walking to the sea works well if you're not carrying chairs, a cooler, or an umbrella, and gives you a bit of exercise and a chance to see the city. Driving that stretch can be impractical because traffic is usually heavy. The parking lot is a big advantage in an area where spaces are usually hard to find. It's spacious, shaded, and easy to maneuver in. Mateus and Renata deserve special mention for being friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Ravi, the house cat, is charming and gentle, and seems to keep an eye on everything even better than the security cameras. One small improvement would be to add hooks in the bathrooms, so guests staying longer have somewhere convenient to hang wet bathing things and towels. The Hotel Sulmar offers good value, great service, a prime location, and a genuinely peaceful setting in the heart of Tramandaí.

The rooms were clean and well organized, and the staff were extremely polite, knowledgeable, and focused on giving great service. My stay at hotel Sulmar was wonderful, with a great location and excellent service. I highly recommend it!

The only good part of this hotel was the reception staff. The lack of common sense and empathy from the management was unbelievable. My wife, daughter, and I went to our family's beach house in Cidreira, but found it very dirty and moldy, and the refrigerator had broken down. We started looking for a hotel at 11 p.m. on 03/01/2025. After many calls and no rooms available elsewhere, we found Sulmar. It cost 855 reais for two nights, which was high, and we arrived at 1:30 a.m. on 04/01/2025. Checkout was at 11 in the morning. I asked the management if we could stay until around 3 p.m. so we could go to the beach in the morning, come back, and shower. At 11 a.m. on 05/01 we would have been there for only 35 hours, and we'd paid 855 reais, but they refused to extend checkout by a few hours. In the end, so the trip wouldn't be wasted, my family and I went to the beach and then drove home without showering.
