Pousada Jacarandá

Breakfast was delicious, especially in such a pleasant setting with that wonderful garden, and the pousada has parking too. Everything was impeccable, from the service to the smallest details in the accommodations. The location was perfect as well. My family and another family we know had only good things to say about our stay in December 2024. I'll definitely return when I come back to Trancoso.

The people were the bright spot: Vanessa and Zenia are fantastic, always available, great cooks, and made an excellent breakfast. They also gave us lots of tips about beaches and restaurants. We spent Christmas week in two double rooms, and the pousada itself had good points at first glance: the pool and garden were well kept, and it seemed clean. But the building is old and needs several improvements. There's no Wi-Fi in the rooms, no way to watch TV, no handheld showerheads, and no soap or shampoo. The mattress sagged, the windows had no screens despite all the mosquitoes, and there was no outdoor space by the bungalows for even two chairs or a hammock, though the garden is spacious. The owner never showed up. In the end, the pousada isn't worth the price.

Vanessa and Zenia made our stay. They do everything they can to make your days lovely, and I'm so grateful to them. The pousada is in a nice spot, about a five-minute walk from the Quadrado. The pool was always clean and delightful. We had room 1, which was spacious with a huge bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, and don't leave without trying Vanessa's tapioca and couscous! Coming back from the beach to coffee by the pool was a real treat, as a Mineira would say, haha. I highly recommend Pousada Jacarandá and would gladly return. If you want that warm, family-style hospitality, stay there. They go all out to make the experience wonderful.

Vanessa was so friendly and took great care of us. My husband, our one-year-old baby, and I were warmly welcomed at pousada jacarandá by the manager. The place is very well maintained and managed by her, the pool was always clean, and breakfast was prepared with care. We chose the simplest room category, which didn't have a minibar. When Vanessa learned we were traveling with a baby, she arranged one for us to make our stay easier. I loved her tips for restaurants and things to do around Trancoso. The stay was well worth it, and I highly recommend it.
