Pousada Trancosear

My reserved room wasn’t available when I arrived at the pousada, and they put me in a cheaper one without telling me. The place also costs more than others and is far from Quadrado. I don’t recommend it.

The breakfast was wonderful, with plenty of tasty options. The whole place felt welcoming and well organized, and I was comfortable throughout my stay. The team were polite, attentive, and always ready to help. Lucia and Beto deserve a special mention. I had a great experience from arrival onward, and I’d recommend the pousada and come back again. Congratulations to everyone on the good work!

The pool was lovely for relaxing and enjoying the day, and breakfast was fresh, generous, and made with care. Lúcia and Beto were wonderful, welcoming people who were always happy to help. They really made us feel at home. The rooms were spotless, smelled fresh, and were clearly well looked after down to every corner. You can feel the care in all the little details, right from arrival. We had an amazing stay. It exceeded what we expected, and we’ll definitely return and recommend it wholeheartedly. 😍😍

I absolutely can’t recommend Vila Trancosear. The reservation-site photos, including those on booking, don’t reflect the actual quality of the pousada and give customers the wrong impression. There are no photos of the entrance, which is on a dusty road and surrounded by a facade that doesn’t feel secure. Inside the room, there was mold and a musty smell all over the staircase. That alone says a lot about the hygiene and cleanliness, which were far below even minimum sanitary standards. Having breakfast there would be unthinkable. The owner’s service was awful. When we raised the mold and the condition of the place, we were met with extreme arrogance and no willingness to solve the problems. The owner only acknowledged how serious it was, as if he already knew and didn’t consider it a concern. If you visit Trancoso, avoid this place.
