Vila Morena Altos de Itapororoca

I’d still recommend this house. We had some lovely days there, and our event was really special. The house itself is beautiful, roomy, and cozy, but we ran into several problems soon after arriving: some appliances didn’t work, the air conditioning kept stopping at night, and the fridge and drinks freezer weren’t cooling properly. The owner sent someone to check because our event was the next day. Only the freezer started working; the other issues continued for days, and we lost a lot of food, which cost us a considerable amount of money, about as much as the extra fee we’d been charged. We had booked well in advance, after discussing an event planned for the house and getting the owner’s agreement. Around two months before the stay, we explained that more people would be coming than first expected. The owner said we could bring as many as we wanted. I was clear that they wouldn’t go inside the house or stay overnight, and that most were elderly. Two days before arrival, after we sent the guest list, we were charged a substantial extra fee. We agreed to it to avoid trouble so close to an event we’d planned for over a year, and to keep things cordial with an owner who had been helpful until then. We politely asked to have the extra fee deducted in light of what had happened. We’d behaved responsibly and respectfully, as we’d expect guests to behave in our own home. We left the property in great condition, there were no complaints about the event, everything wrapped up before 10 p.m., and that same night all the furniture, decorations, waste, and guests were gone. The owner declined our request, politely, but without really acknowledging that some of what we’d agreed on hadn’t been fully delivered. I’d suggest checking the appliances more carefully and being more understanding when unexpected problems affect a guest’s stay.
