The air conditioning was essential to my choice of this property, but on checking in I found it turned on without actually cooling. I told the host right away, and she confirmed the fault after checking. There wasn’t enough time to switch accommodations. She later said on Airbnb that it might have been caused by misuse, even though we’d only just checked in.

We booked this apartment because it had air conditioning, but the unit didn’t work when we arrived. We asked for help and weren’t offered any assistance to fix it. The hosts checked and just said, “It wasn’t like that before,” without resolving anything, which disrupted our trip.

We really liked our stay at Recanto da Barra and would happily come back. Dona Sabrina was so attentive and kind over WhatsApp the whole time, and it was easy to get in touch. The chalet is close enough to Barra Seca beach to walk, and having parking right out front was a big plus. Our apartment was upstairs, with a balcony hammock and a nice view. Everything looked good, the bathroom was well set up, and the furniture was new. The kitchen had a minibar, sandwich maker, microwave, cutlery, plates, and glasses. There was both a fan and very good air conditioning in the bedroom. The bed was simple, but the mattress was sturdy. Bring your own sheets and towels. The water pressure was low, which is the one thing I’d improve, but it didn’t take away from our stay.

The owner was always ready to help and did what he could to meet our needs. Pets are welcome, which was key to my choice, and the apartment had everything, including excellent Wi-Fi and comfortable pillows and mattress. Just note that sheets and towels aren’t provided. Thanks, Leandro, for the warm welcome. The beach is about five minutes away, but when I visited it didn’t look very nice, with lots of branches and organic material from the sea and mangrove making it seem dirty. There’s a great, fairly priced kiosk on the beach, though. The apartment is easy to reach, well located for getting to downtown and other beaches, and good value. It’s a quiet spot to get away from the bustle. It isn’t suited to someone looking for luxury, but it worked for me. I enjoyed it, recommend it, and would return.

Hola. It’s always good. The local people respect me now. At first they were wary of me, in the sense that they didn’t want to get involved, and they didn’t “miss” me, meaning feel saudade. I always find a way to take Coca-Cola caps off the beaches so the turtles don’t eat them. 🐶25.0 🦑🙏🐢🛑🚧no trumpete
