We stayed for two days in August, during the off season. It’s centrally located and close to all the places you’d want to visit in town. The staff were kind and attentive, and the place itself was decent, though it could use some refurbishment. The Wi-Fi was quite slow, even though we were basically the only guests.

The location is great, between two very good restaurants, Alecrim and Tio San. My suite was very clean, and the housekeeper cleaned it and changed the bath towels daily; the bed linen was changed every two days. Breakfast was generous and varied, and all the staff were very helpful. The Wi-Fi signal was weak. The apartment I’m in has no spray hose beside the toilet, and the bamboo curtain doesn’t fully block the morning light.

The room we stayed in needs renovation. The bathroom was grimy, the TV only had three working channels, and the door lock was loose. There wasn’t enough outside lighting to see the room number on the door, and the air conditioner was so noisy that sleeping meant turning it off and putting up with the heat. The nightly rate doesn’t match the service provided.
