Pousada Villa Piemonte

Our room overlooked the garden, which made for a really pleasant stay. It was very clean, with a good-sized bathroom, and the breakfast was simple but high quality. The TV supported screen mirroring, which came in handy for watching a series during the rainy weather. The housekeeper Karina was lovely, attentive, and always willing to help. We arrived in Ubatuba on 19/01 after having trouble with mold at another pousada we’d booked. In a panic, we searched Google and found Villa Piemonte. It’s charming and simple, but has what you need. I chose it based on the reviews, and I’m leaving mine here in case it helps someone else. The location is good, with easy access to Enseada, Lazaro, Praia Grande, and the town center. It isn’t right by the sea, but from my experience in Ubatuba, places closer to the water seemed to have worse mold and humidity issues. The photo below shows the view from our room’s balcony.

We were welcomed warmly, and breakfast was good each day, with a nice range of breads and cakes. We could also have used the pool at the pousada across the way, which belongs to them, but chose the beach instead. It was only a five-minute walk. I had to change our travel dates at the last minute and found Villa Piemonte. The photos already looked promising, and we stayed from Sunday through Wednesday. The place is new and very well built, and we felt at home. Our room had everything we needed, including a clothesline, mini fridge, balcony chair, and even a hammock that we didn’t end up using. They also provide towels to take to the beach or pool, which is a really nice touch. Out back there’s a lovely grassy area with trees. I’d happily return. The room key was quite hard to turn from outside, and sometimes it took a while to get the door open. The raised edge at the garage entrance also made parking a little tricky.

It’s a quiet place, and the garden is lovely for having breakfast to the sound of birds. The other guests were respectful and kept things quiet. The pousada was clean, the breakfast well prepared, and the service good. Each room has towels for the beach, a hammock, and a clothesline for drying things.
