Ubatuba's Surf Colônia de Férias

The rooms were clean, and the people who welcomed us were really attentive. The place itself is wonderful. It would be perfect if the owners added a TV and a microwave to the rooms.

The listing should be corrected or removed so people don't waste their time. The place doesn't work as described and doesn't have parking for that purpose. We went there and found a beautiful spot that was run down. The parking area was packed, with clotheslines everywhere, giving it a bit of a slum-like feel, and the people there seemed to be long-term residents. A man who wasn't very friendly told us they rent monthly for 800. The owner, who had a Rio accent, said they don't rent that way and didn't seem to live there. The information didn't match. Please correct the listing or remove it from Maps.

There was a little waterfall sound in the background, which made it a pleasant place to rest. The location was good, the room was in great shape, clean, and had a fridge and TV. We were told all the rooms have them. The staff treated us really well. I admit I arrived with doubts after reading the comments here, but I had a great stay and would come back for sure. I'm only giving it four stars because the room is simple.

The location and view were great, and you can walk to Pereque-Mirim beach. The bathroom had a hot shower and the mattress was comfortable, though the pillows weren't. At reception, I was asked if I'd "registered their WhatsApp" to get updates. I still don't know what that means, and when I said no, the person was rude and asked if I didn't know how to use WhatsApp. The lock was nearly broken, the key wouldn't turn, and it was a little rusty. It took us a while to figure out that we had to insert the key halfway and turn carefully, since the lock cylinder seemed ready to come out. There were cobwebs all over the door when we opened it, and the inside lock only worked if we turned the key halfway. We killed two cockroaches on the second day. The Wi-Fi in room A4 was very weak, and even when it connected there was no internet, so we used our own 4G for both days.
