Mercure Uberlândia Plaza Shopping

On this second stay during my trip, Gabriel at the front desk and Priscilla made the service stand out again. Priscilla had checked me in a few days earlier, and when I arrived, she helped Gabriel get everything ready quickly. The check-in was smooth and finished within minutes. I was tired, but they seemed to understand without me needing to say so. Thanks especially to Priscilla, and to Gabriel for arranging a quieter room on a higher floor. Room 714 was perfect, with a water boiler, a safe for my belongings, and a better shower than the one in my previous room. The hotel also had good gluten-free options. I’m currently undergoing medical treatment and need a sauna, so I appreciated having one, along with a beautiful pool overlooking the city. The shared internet could be slow at times, though I found that it also helped me step away from technology and reconnect with real life. What keeps bringing me back is the cleanliness, the sense of safety, and the breakfast. There was plenty of variety and quality, including local Minas Gerais dishes like pamonha and pão de queijo. This is my favorite hotel in the city and my first choice, even after staying at and reviewing other places during this trip. I’m grateful to everyone at Merkur Hotel and its leadership team for the thoughtful care and excellent service.

The breakfast was a highlight on my third stay at the Mercure Hotel at Center Shopping in Uberlândia. There were fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes, plus great coffee that I went back for more than once. The location right in the shopping center also made dining and shopping easy, just a short walk away. The rooms were modern, spacious, and very clean, a comfortable place to come back to after exploring. The staff were welcoming from the start and provided excellent service throughout. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Uberlândia.

The room was very clean, and the hotel itself was organized. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great. But the elevators were a BIG problem: only one worked, and it could take several minutes to get on. Stairs were an option, but they weren’t clearly marked or clean, and cleaning supplies and other things were stored there. The internet worked only one day out of the three I stayed. Also, the sliding door to the balcony wouldn’t lock at all.

My stay was amazing, and this is the best hotel in Uberlândia. I do wish guests could control the sauna with a 10-minute timer. Also, using WiFi should only require my room number and last name, as it does at most good hotels. I don’t want my email sold to third parties.
