ibis Vitoria Praia de Camburi

I stayed for two nights, and the reception moved me promptly to another room after I reported the problem. In the first room, both the air conditioner and fridge were noisy enough to make a good night’s sleep almost impossible. I had to start work early the next day, so it added a lot of stress. I appreciate the quick room change, but I’ve been trying without success to reach a manager about a possible refund for that first night. I’m frustrated and disappointed. I understand issues can come up, and I believe the team wants guests to be satisfied. I’d like to discuss this with the right person and hope we can reach a fair resolution, so I can still consider Ibis for a future stay.

The Wi-Fi was awful. In my apartment the signal was strong, but after logging in I still got “no connection.” Staff reset the router on my floor, and they even contacted IT support, but neither fixed it. If I needed to get online, I had to go down to the lobby.

The rooms were small but clean, and the bed and blanket could be a little better quality. Breakfast was okay, and the rest was good. The location is right by the beach, with a nice view and easy access to seaside activities. We enjoyed walking along the shore and watching people doing all sorts of outdoor activities.

We got a room with the beach view we’d asked for, thanks to the receptionist who made it happen when we arrived around 11 p.m., the night before New Year’s Eve. The view was lovely, and the hot shower was one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Breakfast had lots of variety and could hold its own against any hotel, maybe even beat some, with a free cappuccino machine too. The hospitality and front desk staff were as nice as can be, and the location meant we could walk back from the free beach concert on New Year’s Eve. Thank you, Ibis! We also bought a painting from a couple walking along the street in front of the hotel. We gave them 30 reais, and they were very happy. When people are living on the streets and offering a service or product, it’s always best to try to lend a helping hand.
