Valentines Resort & Marina

The pink sand beach and clear water were the highlight, and we loved taking relaxing walks there. At Valentines Resort & Marina on Harbour Island, our February 2026 weekend was a lovely getaway. The room was roomy, quiet, and spotless, with tasteful decor, a full kitchen, and laundry in the room. We enjoyed slow mornings on the big private deck with delicious lattes from The Cocoa Coffee House onsite. Staff were helpful and friendly throughout. Can’t wait to come back, highly recommend.

We liked being able to walk to the best parts of town and reach quieter island spots and pink sand beaches, while staying away from the center of the noise and bustle. The internet was very fast and reliable, so getting work done when needed was easy. We spent nearly a week here and enjoyed it despite the bad weather. The marina, pool, and guest suites are among the island’s best, and the property has a nice mix of comfort and nostalgia, culture and convenience.

It’s not a bad place to stay. My room was serviced every day, which was great, and I liked how they folded the throw blanket. There isn’t much space for clothes unless you use the kitchen cupboards. The damp drawers made all my clothes smell terrible. You can’t download Netflix on the TVs, though Amazon Prime is available.

The marina is less than a quarter full, so maybe that has something to do with the electricity costs. We paid almost $100 a day at one point, averaging around $90, which feels criminal. For comparison, we spent eight days in Green turtle and our entire electric bill there was $354, though I assume they get electricity from the same source. The other reason I wouldn’t return is the water taxis speeding in and out from the marina dock every 20 minutes. They leave you rolling in your slip all day. It’s a nice place overall, but those two issues would keep me from coming back.
