Pelican Bay Resort at Lucaya

I was in town for a rugby weekend and had a great stay at Pelican Bay. The room was clean, well equipped, and looked out over the water and pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bones bar had a cozy feel, excellent drinks, and great service. Sabor, the restaurant on site, had fantastic views and service, with prices that were very reasonable for a resort hotel. Freeport still has that relaxed, friendly feel I remembered, even after a long time away. Can’t wait to return.

We stayed at this resort with a group of travel advisors for Celebration Key training. The staff were friendly, our rooms were clean, and the sunset was beautiful. I’d recommend it to my clients.

For the price, this is a fantastic deal. The room and furniture aren’t new, but it was clean, the TV worked well, the internet signal was good throughout the property, and the king bed was really comfortable. You also get access to the pools, beach, and wet bar, plus a free boat ferry to the shopping center and restaurants and a free ride for grocery shopping. Hard to find so much included at such a reasonable price. I’d definitely recommend it.

The balcony was a highlight, with a lovely view. This is a fantastic hotel in a great location, probably the best place I’ve stayed in the Bahamas. Just know that the HVAC turns off while the balcony door is open, and starts again once you close and lock it.
