Grand Lucayan

The all-inclusive setup is convenient, and my stay was okay, but the food was just average and the service didn’t have much warmth. The staff weren’t rude, just indifferent. At breakfast, I waited about a minute while the staff member was on her phone before she acknowledged me. The kitchen and bar service felt similar, and one bartender seemed irritated whenever anyone approached, which was uncomfortable. It might work if you want an all-inclusive place in Freeport. Just don’t expect especially good food or service. It gets the job done, but that’s about it.

The resort looks beautiful from the outside and sits right on the beach, with crystal blue water, soft white sand, and peaceful scenery. The staff were welcoming, and check-in was smooth. I also appreciated how security handled wristbands, asking non-guests to leave, which made the property feel safe and well managed. The room conditions were a big letdown. The carpet was old and worn, and the rooms need serious updates to match the exterior. For two full days the whole resort had no air conditioning, leaving my room unbearably hot and making it almost impossible to relax or sleep. The front desk said there was nothing they could do. I also overheard other guests dealing with even bigger room problems. I checked out early because of the heat and lack of AC. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but it wasn’t great either. The location and staff are great, though the infrastructure and rooms need attention. With upgrades and more reliable amenities, this place could be amazing.

We had the best time here. The customer service was wonderful, and it’s a perfect location for a Bahamas vacation.

The landscaping was sparse, and rubbish on the grass by the pool and outdoor restaurant area was never cleared. The beach also had a section constantly overrun by dozens of gulls, which came to clean themselves and drink from the hotel pool. The hotel needs serious TLC, and all the rooms are outdated. It wasn’t busy when I stayed, so the service seemed fine. I wouldn’t recommend it.
