Pelican Beach Villas

These villas are right on a small beach with a nice view, and you can walk to shops and restaurants. They were well equipped for a relaxing few days and made a good base for exploring the island. The staff were great, and I'd highly recommend staying here. Just a heads up, the map pin is in the wrong place. The villas are up above, right on the water.

Simple cottages, a beach right outside, and lots of peace and relaxation. We love staying here. There's a grocery store just up the street, and they even pick you up at the airport. It's beautiful, quiet, and private. Next time, we hope we get stranded there with no hopes of going home!

The location is lovely and convenient, but the cottages were dirty, neglected, and falling apart. Garbage, including lots of broken glass, was scattered on the beach. The WiFi didn't work, and neither did many appliances and fixtures: windows, doorknobs, lights, and more. Nearly everything else was stained or ripped. I really wanted to like this place, but every part of the stay was disappointing. Too bad.

We checked out the next morning after finding the villas old, unkempt, and infested with bugs. Ants were all over the place, including the kitchen cabinets, bedroom dresser, and bathrooms. There were termites and roaches in the kitchen. The outside deck doors couldn't be used, and the kitchen door came off its hinges because the wood had rotted. Only one of the three exits worked. The TV was out because the cable box had blown, the sofa cushions had sunk down into the frame, and the outdoor furniture was too filthy to use. They say the villas are checked and maintained before guests arrive, but ours clearly hadn't been. We were promised a refund, but it took several calls and two separate refunds to get our money back. They credited only half at first, so we had to follow up for the rest. Book your vacation somewhere else!
