Sandals Royal Bahamian

We had perfect weather every day and loved the private island, with its quieter atmosphere and beautiful beach. The all-inclusive resort was excellent, with friendly, helpful, professional staff. One issue: guests claimed pool and beach loungers with towels as early as 8:30am, then kept them reserved all day. Staff didn’t monitor whether the chairs were being used, so others couldn’t get any.

The staff were a real highlight, always polite and attentive. We especially loved Michelle at the piano bar in the East building. She was so sweet and friendly, and made great drinks. The nightly piano sing-alongs there were fun, too. My wife and I wanted a quiet, low-key week, and Sandals Royal Bahamian had a pool that suited us perfectly. There are two huge pools, and from the quieter one we couldn't even hear the party pool. There’s also a little pool and hot tub tucked away in a peaceful, secluded spot. Our only room problem came near the end, when the shower drain got very slow. It was hard to get someone to fix it. Everything else was great, and we absolutely loved our stay. We’ll definitely come back, and hope to see Michelle again.

Anna was the standout for us. She worked miracles getting us into Kimonos and Butch’s Steakhouse, and both meals were fantastic. Check-in was quick and easy, and everyone made us feel welcome. This was our fourth Sandals, and we had a great time. We had a spacious room, and the housekeeping was great. We also took the boat to the private island and spent a really relaxing day there. Gordon’s overwater dinner came with beautiful views. The resort is a short trip from the airport, too. My one suggested improvement is the activities, only because I didn't win bingo, lol. I'd gladly return.

The quiet pool was a nice place to relax, since the pool out front could get loud and rowdy. We also loved taking sunset pictures on the pier, then heading to the grove after dinner for the nightly entertainment. The food was great. Butch’s was our favorite for dinner, while Kanoo was our pick for the breakfast and lunch buffet. And of course, we had pizza by the pool. Our butlers, Samson and Waldons, were excellent at anticipating what we needed. We enjoyed getting to know them, and their sense of humor was awesome. We had a wonderful vacation.
