We went on Christmas Day, so seeing the Junkanoo parade/festival was easy, just a few steps away. The location is a huge plus, with literally everything we wanted to see in downtown Nassau within walking distance. Our room had a nice view of either the pool or the city street. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Stoney. When our taxi driver didn't have change, the front desk changed my $100 bill into smaller amounts, which saved me from having to give it all to him. They cleaned the room and changed the towels every day even though we hadn't asked. Max, the famous parrot, is in the lobby, and there's also an on-site bar/restaurant.

The staff were really friendly, and the place has an olde hotel Bahamian charm you don't get at a chain. Even if you aren't staying overnight, stop by the lobby for happy hour.

I've stayed in hotels in 10 different countries, and this is the first and only booking I've ever canceled after calling about an incorrect reservation charge. The receptionist immediately had an attitude and hung up in the middle of the conversation. We patiently called back to ask for an email confirming the refund, and they hung up on us again. We canceled right away. The customer service was the worst I've experienced. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

I didn't enjoy the stay. The rooms were dirty, there was a dead mouse under our bed, and the food just wasn't nice. My girlfriend and I lost interest in staying there, so I really wouldn't recommend it.

The restaurant was good, with plenty of food and drink options, and the location is the best thing about the hotel. It's in the city centre/downtown, close to the cruise terminal and within walking distance of bars and restaurants. But for a 2 stars hotel, two stars is all it deserves. Everything is very old. The room was clean at first, then during the day termites and other bugs covered the floor and bed, including worm-like or centipede-like ones.
